MEET SHIFT

HOW WE ROLL

Through education, advocacy, and community-informed outreach, we prioritize bringing bikes and bike service education to local youth and to BIPOC, Latinx, LGBTQIA+, WTFNB folks, and others who have been historically underserved.

We are committed to highlighting the contributions that these communities have made to the world of cycling, uncovering and uplifting what has been erased or hidden.

Our Core Values

  • Access

We believe that everyone—regardless of age, income, race, or ability—deserves the freedom of movement. Access is about removing barriers to bicycling by offering affordable repairs, low-cost bikes, and skill-building opportunities. Through our programs, we ensure that biking remains a viable, dignified option for all members of our community.

  • Community

Shift is powered by community and collaboration. We foster a welcoming space where neighbors, volunteers, staff, and riders come together to share knowledge, tools, and stories. Through group rides, workshops, and partnerships, we create a culture that celebrates connection and builds a more equitable Lane County.

  • Education

We offer hands-on, inclusive learning that helps people build practical bike repair skills, develop confidence on the road, and deepen their understanding of transportation justice. Our programs support riders at every stage of their journey and equip them with knowledge they can carry forward into their communities.
