PEDAL FORWARD

Connection to Opportunity

Workforce Development

Shift’s workforce development program, Pedal Forward, is a new initiative to connect our community to opportunities by bike. Participants are trained in basic mechanics, then employed by Shift for the summer season to complete pop up repairs, bike valet events, and build bikes for the floor. This real-world work experience then translates to connections within our local bike ecosystem: bike shops, manufacturers, and service providers have a pool of candidates to grow our collective impact.
